Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Our area is currently under a Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service and travel is discouraged unless it is an emergency. Considering the current weather statements and forecast, and in consultation with our Sr. Warden, St. Philip's will cancel in-person worship and offer online only services on Sunday, February 14, 2021 due to safety concerns.
The following is still planned for Worship and Christian Formation on Sunday, February 14th (assuming I have electricity and internet available).
9:15 a.m. Zoom Bible Study (click on the following link: bit.ly/StPhilipsBibleStudy)
9:15 a.m. Godly Play Story (on fb.com/stphilipspalestine)
10:30 a.m. Holy Eucharist: Rite II (on fb.com/stphilipspalestine, bulletin at bit.ly/StPhilipsBulletin)
If you do not find the classes and service available at these times, I'm likely without internet and/or electricity. In this case you are encouraged to say Daily Morning Prayer: Rite II as found in The Book of Common Prayer beginning on page 75. You may use the following readings: Psalm 50:1-6, 2 Corinthians 4:3-6, and Mark 9:2-9 (found in the bulletin linked above).
Please do not hesitate to contact me on my cell phone at (five-one-two) 799-9365 with any questions, concerns, or needs as they arise.
Faithfully yours in Christ,
Fr. Justin Briggle
